Haven't updated my thread in a little while but thought I'd add some content here. Currently working on the rear leaf springs, I have 6 leafs a side as I had one spring added on each side due to some sagging. Here they are with many years of rust, undercoating and paint on them. Here they are after I stripped them bare, painted them with Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator and then some Tremclad Stainless Steel paint, mine were originally natural not black. Bought some new parts; Leaf Spring Shackle's, Center Bolts, Rebuild kit and an Energy Suspension Polyurethane Leaf Spring Bushing Set.

Thanks Dave. I'm having a bit of trouble getting the straps around the leafs (too short) I'm going to see if I can find longer ones. My car only had one strap left and it was just a simple metal strap installed by the spring shop that added my extra leaf.

FINALLY, the weather is cooperating a little bit! I just got a garage in a box tent to put up for cover to get started on my 73 SE. I just picked up another one for parts. I now have 6 of them! The one I am working on has been triple black for some time now, but I am strongly considering making it red with black trim. I would like to leave the engine bay black, and I need to make these color decisions before I get very far along! I guess it would be easier to leave it black, but it needs painted and the time to change the color would be now! I am putting in all new front end parts. Billstein shocks, new torsion bars, and I need to get a bushing kit for it. This new Charger I brought home has white buckets and a console, but my 73 has a bench.....may change that also, and go with the buckets, and slapstik! Oh, well, whatever I do, I want the car on the road by end of june at the latest! I included a pic of the last 73 I got for parts. I may sell that bulge hood. I have the rallye on the one I am keeping! Well, it does not look like the pic came through. I'm new on here, so I will keep trying to make it work!

Welcome aboard 3rdgencharger. #WaveHi# Sounds like you have a plan. Color choice can be tough, but with lots of parts/parts cars, I think you are well o your way. For help with posting pictures, there are a couple of threads in this area. wichargerguy.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=helpIf you decide to sell that hood, or any other parts, be sure to list them in the parts for sale section, once you meet the requirements to do so (rules are pinned to the top of that section).

no posts for 10+ days??
Okay, I'm gonna count cleaning out some of my shop and finding Charger parts that will be needed later. I did actually touch the car (to move it out of the way)

I modified the power brake booster mounting plate to fit my new light-weight manual master cylinder. Got the master cylinder mounted yesterday, the rod etc. will line up perfectly. Next I need to get the distribution/proportioning valve and install the Hurst line lock and run all the brake lines.
