Hello everyone, I was looking for some help with restoring my 73 Rallye Charger with a Sunroof (M52). It works with a little extra effort and when closed it doesn't close even with the roof. Was wondering if there is some adjustments built in to fix the fit and where best to lube it up to operate smoothly. Like to hit the sweet spot first before working it to much. Haven't given it a water test to see how good the seal is. The drains are still in place. Thanks for any help. Let me see if I can figure out how to add Pictures. Paul

Welcome Paul. I'm not sure who we have on board that are sunroof experts but I'm sure someone will chime in.

Paul, I am by far no expert but I grafted in a moon roof that came out of a 75 Cordoba onto my wife's 72 Charger. It is a manual one and we have had no problems with it. Is yours a manual or power one? If it is power there may be an adjustment for the stop on the moon roof. Have you tried opening it and cleaning out what you can see as much as you can? If the tracks are dirty that may be the problem. They are a boxed unit so in order to check the rear part of the moon roof, you would have to remove it from the car in order to clean and see if there is any obstructions. Gary

Hey Gray, Thanks! Good point! I'm sure the tracks are full of dirt. I see when closing the last little bit it is suppose to pop up to I suppose a nice even fit. This one is a little low in the back. This one is a manual operated one..Knew those Cordoba's would come into good use.

Clicking on gotgrey's username, it appears he has not sign in since April 30. He does list an email in his profile. You might want to email him.

VW SUNROOF CABLES PER SET>$40.00...HANDLE HOLDER FROM VW"PAINT IT' $8.00,,,, mine works great now, pulled it down, cleaned it well, and theres a shim with gear I deleted and used screws to draw tight> factory is junk. Brought gear more into cables for grab. As to to adjustments you'll have to play with it>ie cables. If you need parts type in VW Sunroof, Volvo, there all the same. Do you have a link to the site you bought them from with maybe part numbers also?
