Holy cow...is that your Omni 024 in the background? Was. First car I bought new back in the fall of 1981. Unfortunately, it had some issues and started falling apart in the late 80's. I traded it in on my first Chrysler LeBaron GTC (1988) convertible in the summer of 1988.

@charger440sixpack Tell us About your omni please. Is this something like a predecessor of the chrysler Daytona shelby? i like this cars somehow, but the omnis are unknown here in europe,at least the Fastback Version. As I recall, the 1982 Dodge Omni 024 came out just before the Shelby Charger 2.2's were introduced. Ordered it new built the way I wanted it in the summer of 1981. It had the 2.2 liter 4 cylinder which was a great little motor and was the best thing about the car. It was fun to drive, the 2.2 liter had plenty of power for the small hatch back. It had A/C and the pop-up sun roof. Sadly, the quality of the interior was poor and after about five years everything started falling apart. The cloth seats literally started to disintegrate from the sun/UV lite and some of the plastic parts started to crack. The silver paint looked terrible, faded & oxidized. The 024 had been hit twice in the rear (and repaired) by this point. By July of 1988, I decided to move up to a Chrysler and bought a new, loaded LeBaron GTC convertible off the showroom floor; the 024 was a trade in and was the last time I saw it.

Ok,it sounds like you dont miss the car :-)
they were based on the 5door omnis/horizon right?
I knew the Five door version as Talbot Horizon, wich was available here. but they were horrible rustbuckets back in the day,and now i havent seen one for a very Long time..
i think the late 80s and 90s chryslers like Daytona/leBaron/ a platform cars were good cars when they came out.
