I have figured out a method of installing the front spoiler. I'm going to post a series of pictures to give the next guy some courage and information before you drill into your car. Its really not that bad to install.
Initially, you will need a second person. I was able to keep the 15 year old around for only so long, to help get it started.
This spoiler pretty much finds its own position. Simply sit on the ground, in front of the Charger with your legs under the car.
Center the spoiler on the car while your hands are on the underside of the spoiler, (see picture of hand placement) pushing upward.
Your hands are centered to the left and right of the holes #1, (see labeled photo)
You will see that that the spoiler conforms to the round corners on the inside of the center section of the license plate area. (see ARROWS in photo, and short tip of white ruler pointing to round corner ). Note ...The other picture showing the "white ruler" , is showing the entire spoiler mounted with only the two center holes. So you will see left and right ends of the spoiler sagging.
Pushing up so you see little or NO space in the corners between the front valance and the spoiler. ( referring to the ARROWS area again ) photo.
Holding the spoiler up in this position, have your helper double check for evenness, left, right, as well as the ends of the spoiler. In this position it should fall into place pretty evenly by itself.
Have the helper mark the two center holes using a sharpie marker. (holes #1 in photo).
Use clear tape to cover the marks. (tape shown in pictures).
I used a 3/32 inch bit to drill a pilot hole and then the "instructions" recommended 5/16 drill bit to make the final hole.
Using the seemingly too large 5/16 hole gives you some room for adjustment of the spoiler.
Once you have both #1 holes drilled , you can now temporarily install the spoiler using two of the provided bolts and washers. "Hand tighten". (white ruler photo showing entire spoiler)
No helper needed now. Again, make sure the spoiler is in a good position and mark the next set of holes #2 and (#3, NOT LABELED). Again, use clear tape over the marks, drill a 3/32 pilot hole, and the final 5/16 hole.
Install the the spoiler again (hand tighten), making sure its in a good position.
Now mark the last two holes, (#4 not labeled) making sure that the pointed ends of the spoiler end up in the same location on the car. At this point, the ends landed pretty even on both sides.
I used a ruler and the car body lines to help get it in as even as possible.
Remove the spoiler and drill the last set of hole as described above.
Before you do the final install don't forget to apply some protection to the raw metal in the holes. (photo of paint brush with black paint).
Place ALL the bolts and washers by hand. Tighten down the the bolts starting from the middle out to the ends.
Done!
