Screw Connection gets the DBL (dark blue) goes to the YELLOW MOLD Accessory Feed Plug. Spade Connection gets the GRY (gray) goes to the Engine Compartment.

Thanks brock i got it too work for a little while!!! Now either the wires came loose on tach or the tach quit working. The tach gets wired to the negitive side of coil on my electronic distributer setup so my instructions stated.

I'm thinking outside my knowledge & experience here. I seem to recall the + on the coil gets 12V from the Start & Run on the Ignition & the - on the coil is switched on and off by the points in the distributor. So the - on the coil would count RPMs. I hope you do find a loose wire! Now, my real curiosity is for those that know. Can a modern HP Electronic Distributor fry an original Tach? I have both old & new styles (7K vs 8K) & really don't want to mess up with the wrong distributor choice

no one ign system will fry the tach, simply will make it work wrong. ( unless you hook it wrong haha )
mostly sure the 8K tach will work like the Autometer tachs with MSD and similars without a tach adaptor in the middle. I'm mostly sure the 8K repro tachs are in fact autometer or similar mechanism inside and just the outer parts made to our cars. That would it be a reason to have 8K and not 7K repro units on the market.
7K unit, then the originals, won't work at least with MSD, due they can not translate the multispark code into a pulse able to be read by the original tach. Dunno if the repairing/rebuilt services ( like RTE ) make an upgrade inside on 7K tachs to work with MSD or similars
ANYTHING OF THAT has to do directly with distributor, just with ignition module kind

no, I'm not saying that...Original tach works with any electronic ignition as far is not multispark system, like MSD, but rest of them will work without problem. Tachs are a simple pulse decoder like the regular pulse used to close circuit to make the spark at coil, BUT MSD makes multi sparks, so multi pulses, that original tachs won't understand.
MSD sells an adapter to make work those with MSD ignitions.
Modern tachs, like VDO and Autometer are able to decode the multispark systems
