I just upgraded from dial up to high speed wireless. I can't believe it. Are you saving THAT MUCH on gas with the Geo? Adding a new addition to the house also. A new GPS, trac phone and now highspeed wireless. Thank you [glow=red,2,300]GEO[/glow]!

Wait until he gets the new pedals installed in the Geo. "Keep pedaling Barney...I need to save enough on gas to pay for my high speed internet connection!" Is it me and my old eyes or does Tom look like Barney? Or visa versa.

Bob is it like this? chevy.oldcarmanualproject.com/miscellaneous/hoodspring.htmI used to remove mine just with some washers.........close hood most of the way, reach in and place washers in between spring spaces and then open hood.....the spring should fall out!....wrapping some elect tape to hold washers in place may help......I have changed springs in cars in the past in 15 mins this way..... I use a floor jack to open spring and install washers before remounting new spring

I used 1 yard braided line 1/2 inch thick maybe, made a bowline loop each end put it around the spring and pulled by hand....worked fine...to paint them i pulled them apart using coil spring compressors. Have used two pieces of pipe, reinforcing steel or the like that i have put in a 2"x4" construction timber. Drill a hole same diameter as the the pipe on the 2" side all the way through, measure the length you want to stretch the spring and drill a second hole and put the pipes in and stretch the spring between them. I put them back in the same manner i removed them. This is the "old world" - we are a bit primitive
