I took off the cover tonight and saw the silicone gasket I had doesn't fit good in the cover. It's too big, bad mold. I cleaned everything up and put some Permaxtex contact cement on the valve cover and used the Rubber gasket in my Fel-Pro gasket set and let it set up. It fit a lot nicer in the cover. I reinstalled it and tightened the nuts until they were tight a little at a time going from one side to the other. I'm going to rinse it off tomorrow and hopefully get it started up and see if it still leaks. I know this gasket won't hold up for very long but it should get me going if it holds up. I looked from underneath and it looks like it's hugging the cylinder head edges how it should. If this doesn't work I'm going for the steel reinforced gaskets.
