Thanks to Stuga & Red72 for showing me that the door glass isn't in the way of the weatherstrip & chrome moulding! So, after all these years, my drivers side door glass is installed. The hardest mounting bolt to do was the upper front - so I recommend starting with it. Just remember to guide the glass away from metal parts as you move it up & down with the crank to get the rest of the mounting bolts started. Then tighten them all up & fuss with installing the 2 stops.

How are your window stops? (down ) Mine are very loose with no way to tighten them, as they are some sort of nylon plastic rivited on any idea were to get replacements?
I had an Old timer Glazer come over and help me install my door glass (Passenger side) I didnt want to take a chance breaking it as it was an original tinted window. (very hard to find) we had all kinds of problems with it but got it in the end.

What year is your car Doright? This replacement door glass had a piece of a window stop left in it. Seems to be similar to what you describe. Perhaps you could go to the type I used! They snap into the holes on the glass & the screw tightens them into place. Sadly, Year One isn't listing them at the moment.
On a side note: I have a set of wheels coming for this car. I'll get tires for it & figure out how to keep it from rolling back off the blocks at that time.

Brock looks like I left your question in the dark sorry!
As you have probably figured by now mine is a 72 SE as is yours I bet!
As I remember wich I typed that right after installing mine mine was loose, with no way to tighten it. Did you replace yours? Or was it on the window when you got it? Looks like you used a non tint, I was lucky enough too find a tinted one for mine.

You were indeed lucky to find a tinted glass Doright. You are correct about my replacement being the non tint version. At least I got a good deal on it for my 72 SE!
As for the glass stops: I figure your 72 SE is an early build (mines from June). Maybe you could find door stops from a later car - the center screw uses a phillips head screw to get as tight as you like.

Mine have no screws, there like a teflon/White rivit thing. Hey your 72 looks like about the same shape as mine in that pic.
