The red stripe was added. All the '72s were silver. Thanks Pete! As for the build, there are things I'd do different. But that's what makes the hobby fun; everyone has the chance to build what they want. And while some may appreciate a car more if it's built by it's owner, not everyone have the skills to do that. My boss would be impressed if I'd build myself a new computer, but that ain't happenin'! I hope he brings it to Frankenmuth this fall! As for the 6.1L, I'd love to have it. Tied to any form (auto/manual) of modern transmission, that's one killer drivetrain. No screwing with choke pulloffs, vacuum secondaries, boggs, cold starts, vapor lock, altitude changes, etc. The throttle response alone with sequential efi is worth the price of admission. The rigidity of that block and crank, mains bolted 6 ways...sign me up! That said, mine will have it's factory 340 (or a close appearing facsimile there of), 727, and ThermoQuad, tuned by DynoDave!

It's OK. 72 SE's without vinyl tops should be illegal though. The painted bumper thing bores me personally, and looks really dumb with 72 hidaways. They've got the right tailights on it Love the modern engine idea, would love to do that as a driver.

Actually, the original carb for my car is missing. I guess if it isn't a good deal, I wouldn't be too interested. For what I plan to build, the carb will have to be farily modiifed anyone, so originality isn't too important.
