I'm just wondering if anyone is pretty good with Holley carb tuning?
I have a Holley HP series 750cfm Mech secondaries. My isse would be that it was set up from a 408ci engine with a large cam. It now sits a top of a 360ci with headers, mild cam and rpm intake.
I have played with my timing over and over but i still get backfire and its bogs down. Maybe i havent cranked the timing up enough i'm not sure. I have a stock dampner and at 2500rpm i have what i belive is about 32 to 34* timing from my markings. I've herd of dampners not having the markings int he correct spot.
Anyways I belive its the carb causing me to bog and backfire. I would like to get a calibration/tuning kit for it, but wonder if anyone has ideas on jet size maybe float level and so on would be good for a start. I haven;t done this yet so i'd liek to get opinions first.
Thanks
