hi have a 1971 charger se with a 400 has a holley 2 barrel i have fuel spilling out of the vent line the carb, it was just rebuilt new needle seat float and everything else i set the float level and double checked everything, i noticed the pin that holds the float on is plastic it doesnt seem oem to me, i just bought this car and just need to get it running good enough to move it around for now any input would be greatly appreciated thanks

Nothing specific to that carb....but I rebuilt a friends Roch. Q-Jet once. After the rebuild, the same condition you describe. Took it back apart, and to make a long story short, I had followed the float measurement in the rebuild kit. It was WAY off. Reset the float to the spec. in the Motors manual, ran like a champ.
So I'd double check that you made the measurement correctly, that you have the correct value, and that the float/needle are not sticking.
