Hopefully what ever caused the fuse to blow before they wrapped foil around it and possibly damaged the terminals you are repairing was corrected. It might not be a bad idea to start with a smaller amp fuse when you get it back together (5amp) if that blows quickly you know to look further for the problem, if not you should be good to go with the 20amp fuse. The foil on the blown fuse helps locate the short, you just look for the smoke

Fuse box identification can some please help. I'm rewire my 1973 Dodge Charger Special. I ordered the complete wiring harness form Year One. My problem is, the fuse box doesn't have the numbers identified the open spaces. Does anyone have a picture of the bulk head fuse panel showing the numbers stamped on the fuse box.
