What a small world....those are units that I am selling. I have been selling them for years.....kind of got away from them for awhile. I listed 3 of them yesterday, looks like one sold so far. For those who like to save some $$$....and don't mind a trip to a JY..... They are easily found on the 82-89 Chrysler Fifth Avenue. It's not a bad idea to take a small battery pack or jump box, so you can test them prior to purchase. I take a rechargeable tool battery. small but effective. They do electrically fail....and the springs tend to break over time. While I have never tried it myself, I have read that they can also be used as a hood latch. Given the nature of ours cars to break inside hood release cables.....I think I am going to try that mod one of these days.

That was me ... I figured I can stop worrying about faffing with solenoid and cable releases!
I'll put the hood latch back on eBay in the hope that someone can use it for its intended purpose ...

I did Thought I would give ad a little exposure since it was associated to topic. Really surprised Tom never chimed in earlier. Guess he was out junkin' looking for remote trunk releases

Right, wrong, or indifferent......I have for the most part been a bit hesitant to use this forum as an avenue to peddle my "wares" or promote my business. That is simply not something that I am 100% comfortable with.
The camaraderie and friendships that I enjoy here far outweigh the opportunity for me to make a buck.

Another source of electric trunk releases are from the 75 to 79 cordobas. The latch just bolts in. Take the wie and switch also and install in glove box.

It is a Hood latch for a 71-72 Road Runner/Satellite..not sure about Charger.. but I had a customers 72 Road Runner with one of those latch assemblies on his car from the factory, you are missing the bracket that has a hole in it that bolts to the bottom of the front bumper to hold the rod ..so you can pull it down to open the hood. Hope this helps...
