Has anyone used Eastwood system to paint their interior? My kick panels and pillars are faded and I was wondering what is the best route to take.

I haven't used anything but Sem Vinyl Dye and its system... On my door pulls recently, I used their Cleaning & Prep, then 3 coats of vinyl dye black, then one coat of clear low luster. They were originally white when I won them on Ebay. They came out great! BEFORE:AFTER:I did end up hanging them "out to dry" (and set) in the garage for about 4 days to get them past the sticky point. (That also gives the strong odor a chance to fade away.) They are now proudly installed in the black car...my Very 1st Restoration Improvement!! #Trophy# #Trophy# #Drunk# #Drunk# #DancingBanana# #DancingBanana# (And yeah, I know...SEM is not really a vinyl dye, it is really a coating...but who cares...it works!!) Hope that helps! Jer.

From everything I've read on all the forums, Nacho, the Sem System lasts for quite awhile...
I know I've read of some guys whose panels, dashes, pillars, etc., still look great after 3, 4, or 5 years.
I could live with 3 years....anything else would be a bonus...
And you're right about the pulls...once that car gets on the road, it's going to be my daily driver, and I imagine the door pulls are going to be one of the most used things...at least the driver's side will be!!
So, I guess we'll just have to wait and see!! Here's hopin' for the best!! #A_Toast#

Does SEM have colors to match the original color such as B5 blue?

Does SEM have colors to match the original color such as B5 blue? I'm sure they do....I'll snag the web link that I order from tonight and post it here for you.... Unless I'm mistaken (which happens about 93 times a day), they don't sell direct.... Anybody know otherwise? Jer.

The paint/dye from Eastwood is the SEM paint that Father Jer is talking about. I just received it last month from Eastwood but haven't had the time to use it yet. I've been using most of the paint for my restoration from Eastwood with good results. The only problem I've had so far was with the metal filler condo that was supposed to fill in the pits in the pot metal front grill and the SEM trim paint that was supposed to stick to chrome, it does stick, but chips off very easily.
