Shall I disect this too? Should we dig deeper into the mysteries of what makes it tach - er tick? To really do this right - provided there is enough interest - I need ideas on how to set up a calibrator. This thing has 3 different adjustments that I can see.

While we wait, a direct comparison with the aftermarket "repro" tach seems appropriate! The repro does not have a positive zero stop The housing must be a bit lighter ;D The mechanism is different for sure. Which do you prefer?

Last picture.......what were you drinking?...I see 3 in 1 oil and miller lite........I prefer the miller lite over the two choices, although a swig of 3 in 1 can keep ya regular......oh and I have to say I'll take the factory tach ..as I like original stuff...

Thats factory tach & miller lite 1. 3 n 1 oil is a close second & the repro tach hasn't made it to zero yet.

I've been down in my back for 2 weeks. Got so painfull that I started taking anti-inflamatories. The doc will see me tomorrow!

Schematic to follow as soon as I trace it out & draw it up. I too prefer stock appearance - numbers matching for rare yet desirable cars. However: the 318/904 guy that added a Hemi a 4 speed & Dana will not be snubbed by me!!!!!!!!!!!
