Good question, I don't see why they would be, other than the wires that go into and out of them....Other than the switches and wiring, about the only true difference of the mechnical gear that you have to turn for the window glass to go either up or down, where as the window motor does the turning for you..... Granted that's a very breif description of it, but that's the fundamentals of it pretty much.....

It just occurred to me that a hole in the leading edge of the door for the wiring is a difference. So, sure, it's a different body part! My theory is that the stuff listed on the fendertag affects how the body is assembled & it takes the build sheet to see what all was attached. You see A/C & radiator size listed on the fender tag because they require a different firewall & a different radiator core support. So, yeah, adding holes to a part like a firewall or door makes it necessary to put it in a different stack for assembly. Man I'm slow sometimes I saw the light, I saw the light.....

I know this is an old post but I pulled all the power door lock parts from a 1978 dodge Magnum and converted my 74 se to power door locks and everything fit easy and nice. works great and I decided to connect the power for the door locks to my alarm system so it kills the power to the door locks when the alarm is active. I will probably install the relays so I can have remote unlock feature also.

Nice. Those 4th gen. B-body power locks are HEAVY! Big old can shaped actuators. But they are nice. My '78 Cordoba had them. Only gripe is the push to lock feature...it's easy to bump them on your way out of the car...so if you step out of the car with it running, the keys are locked in. Ask me how I know! * *
