does need 3 speed switch to be grounded to make work properly the motor ? I'm pretty sure 2 speeds switch doesn't need.
I'm asking this because didn't made t work properly the wiper motor ( is used but does look good ). I never removed the old 2 speeds switch, was simply trying to making it work hangig out from plug down the dash and when I was touching the switch and any part of the car body I was feeling I was grounding ( was feeling electricity )

Getting shocked is no laughing matter - at least not in my line of work. Bring out some decent leads with alligator clips on the ends. 14 gauge wire should be OK & adding a fuse might not be a bad idea. I'm sure you know all this - but the rest of the crew around here need to be safe too!

I didn't remember the SHOCKED word to mean that, thanks.
is not a big deal get shocked by 12 volts and maybe 10 amps from wiper system
my deal on question is to know BEFORE ground to make the definitive test grounding the switch. I don't want to burn anything IF thats not the problem. remember the small shocks could it be an indicator for NEED to ground to close some internal circuit, and not really a fail

Got an answer from Rick Kish ( former wiperman guy, who is not anymore on wiper rebuilt service but I had saved his email address ) and told me motor AND switch need to be grounded. I'm allmost sure 2 speed doesn't need to be grounded, but apparently 3 speeds needs...
I hope he is right!
will update

Nacho, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but this question is for you and it has to do with wipers!! Here's the position my wipers are "at rest" in, with the wiper switch off and battery disconnected....(This is the lowest point of travel they reach when they are actually wiping) MY QUESTION, NACHO, IS do I change this "low point" somewhere down in the wiper motor linkage, or can I change it by simply removing each arm from the splined spindle and then placing them in the correct position? Thanks, Nacho, and I'm sorry for the Hi-Jack. Jer.

If you turn off the wipers with switch should be hide down the hood. You'll notice when turn off on two speeds at least ( three speds are still on the way to know ), will restart the movement but won't get the higher point. That does mean the parking cam stuff relocate the start and end points on trace to get lowered bottom point and then hide. If you turn off the ign switch for a while wipers are working, will stop on the place you turned off IS 2 OR 3 SPEEDS ? If 2 speeds need to check the parking cam thingy... here is lot of info collected by me ( specially about two speeds parking cam, when I was on it, pics included: www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,34649.0.html also there is info about three speeds system when I was on my linkage hunt. Now that I have a 3 speeds WORKING ( YES, SWITCH DID NEED TO BE GROUNDED, still haven't check for wipers movement because only mounted motor and linkage and not arms yet), could add more info about later If 3 speeds need to dissasembly the gearbox cap and check for malfuction on parking system OR maybe blue wire ( I think is the blue wire ) is not getting power when turn off. ( on two speeds I think also blue wire is the one ). The blue wire what I think is the constantly powered when off, is what makes work reversed the motor to park, and then the parking system shuts off the power by an internal cam on both kind of motors. Are you noticing when turn off, the wipers apparently began once more the complete movement ?

Update... got everythig working!!! mounted variable speed
what I still dunno is whats the diff speed between 2 and 3 speeds. Lower speed is even lower on 3 speeds ? high speed is even faster ? or the 3rd speed is the middle one ? is hard to say if you don't have both working at the same time to compare
BTW... just learnt, on 3 speeds when you shut off, the wiper gets the same higher point, just that when get the bottom point, then begins slowly the relocation down the hood. As stated what I did already know, when is shut off the 2 speeds one, the higher point is relocated a little bit earlier and then hides down the hood at the same regular speed than whe is making its regular movement.
BTW 2: ANCO REFILLS REALLY SU*S... they don't fit on ITS OWN ANCO BLADES!!! at least on the ones I have. The notch on refill is before gets the hooks on blade, making doesn't fit completelly,a dn the other end doesn't get the blade end!!!! needed to make the notchs and pry the hooks on blade to propper firment!!!
