But if I go with the 255/70, I lose almost 2" in width ?

Thanks, odzking. That 2nd one really shows the difference in sizes (graphically) lol

Just to let you know, I ended up with 275/60R15 on the rear and 235/70R15 on the front. Both about the same height. I first bough 215/60R15's for the front but they were way too short and looked terrible. I'm using them for spares now.

Ok. I made another investment in tires and rims and it's still not right! I got keystone 15x10 with 4.125 backspace. Got 275/60R-15's on them. Put them on the car and the look great but the driver's side rubs. I put new 6 leaf springs on from SpringsNThings which lifted the rear about 1/2". It needs to go up a little more. Don't want air shocks, thinking about custom, laser cut shackles, but don't really like the look of shackles. So I ordered some Monroe coil over shocks. Do you think it'll raise the tail enough and if not, is there anything else I can do to keep the wheels and tires besides air shocks ?

I personally would go with the air shocks, for sure can get away from the rub then.

I am looking at a set of Gabriel's but I still don't have that warm, fuzzy feeling that my ride won't be stiffer. Yes, I love the old school look with the up, but I don't want to hurt my 44 year old car. Then again, I drive her only on sunny days, go to shows on the Gulf Coast and once a year do HRPT. So I'm also thinking that it's not that many miles with them on. I'm really on the fence with this one. Your opinions, as always, are much appreciated.

Has anyone tried a pair of Monroe Load Leveling Shocks ? The kind with the shock & spring coil over ? Will they add any lift to the rear ? All I need is an inch on the drivers side.
