Here's a helpful hint to prevent you from making the same mistake I did. I believed the seller who advertised a new battery tray for a 71-72 B-body Mopar and purchased one. Then I learned the 71-72 and 73-74 are different when the underside support bracket mounting hole wasn't in the right place. If you're looking to get a new tray for your 71-72, BE CAREFUL!Nearly all the ones listed on eBay that claim to be for 71-72 B-body Mopars don't have the underside mounting bracket hole in the correct location. I purchased a second tray a couple weekends ago and it is the new repro from AMD. It's not only correct for my 71 but the quality is OUTSTANDING. It seriously puts the first one I bought (made in China) to shame. Here's a quick photo, original on top, first (incorrect) one in the middle and the AMD one on the bottom. The hole in the red circles is the mounting hole for the underside bracket. I know AMD is getting some heat on Moparts for some of their other repro parts but as far as I'm concerned, they did a great job on the battery tray. And, yea, I know how to use a drill and could have drilled a hole in the correct location without much trouble. But the point is, if you're going to advertise a part for an application, please do it accurately. Because there are days that I just plain don't feel like drilling extra holes...

Wow, excellent info and photo. The AMD piece appears to have crisper, more accurate bends/contours to it as well. That's one of the many pieces I suspect I will need for my Charger. Thanks for sharing. #A_Toast#
