Seems no matter what I do the rear white plastic slider extends to far out of the groove causing it to jam like the track is to short. I replaced the white slider and lubed the mechanism but it didn't fix the problem. I didn't have this problem with the other door. The slider will extend past the groove but go back in as the window is rolled up. Any help would be appreciated. This thing is driving me Nutz

Mine are power so I don't know if I can be of much help, but having said that. What exactly is the issue, this is kind of vague.

I replaced the white slider and lubed the mechanism... That's where I would have looked. How's the width of that track the white slider slides in, compared to the other door? No reason to expect that it has spread out over the years, but IF it did, it would allow that slider to get cocked/bound in the track I suppose.

After about eight hours I finally got it working. Sorry if I didn't explain the problem well. I honestly can't tell you what I did wrong. Every piece was where it was suposed to be (I took pic's during teardown) Anyway thanks again Bob and Dave.

I found with BOTH cars when you struggle with something it is best to stop, and walk away or move on to the next item. Then the next day when you go back to it, many times it just falls into place. It's happened more times than not.

Great advise. After working on it for three days I had to step away several times before I really lost my head.

You outta have to do it for a living and get 15 minutes to install it and no hope in hell of walking away till it's done. It's a good thing the English language has so many words that can be used to express one's feelings in creative ways. Along with the optional hand gestures and the occasional thrown tool, relief is only minutes away. I once threw a 3/8 ratchet and socket through a window 40 feet away with a throw that would have made a major league pitcher proud, clocking at least 90 mph, hitting the target dead center and traveling into a bean field 25 feet behind the shop. After a half hour search to find it and a 15 minute break to clean up the glass, I went back to the project and Voila!, it went right together. Door glass mechanisms are an evil that everyone should get to experience. Congrats on whooping yours with out buying a new window.

I'm having a similar issue, figured i might as well not start another topic..
1972 Charger, Driver's door went together easily, window fit the opening perfect. Passenger door, I've tried 4 different configurations, and either the rear, round slider comes out of the track, or the front of the window is too high, and the rear is two inches from the quarter window.. I used the Drivers door as a reference, but even that way, it didn't go together... Any ideas?
