I guess their Superbowl parties are going to consist of a lot of bottled water and soup.

Texted one of my brothers in NY this morning. He had 2 inches of snow....after predictions of 18-24 inches. My younger brother lives outside Boston, which did get hit hard. He had not been outside.....but he said drifts were over his garbage cans. Non drifted areas were up to the top of the tires on his wives Rav4.

The East people sure whine about a little bit of snow The world is coming to the End I seems like they don't store enough food in the shelves to last a week or two of snow bound or do they show on TV the snack section that is bare? ?

Ha! I said that on another forum some weeks ago and got blasted. I commented on how the equipment gets more sophisticated and forecasters were seldom right. This guy replied how he used to have a snow plowing business and depended on the forecast, blah blah blah. I didn't even bother to respond. We got nothing here, a dusting at best. But it is cold. It was +1 (F) this morning. 12:30 est now and it is all the way up to 17!!

North east Mike, north east. I'm ready for weeks of staying home and I believe King Bob (odzking) could survive quite awhile also. The ones on television are normally the city folk who storm the stores and buy everything in sight and after about a week are throwing it out. Like Bob said, after about 2 days the snow is removed and things are pretty much back to normal.

When I was a kid I had to walk a mile and quarter each way rain or freezeing weather Back in my day, '60 Minutes' wasn't just a bunch of gray-haired, liberal 80-year-old guys. It was a bunch of gray-haired, liberal 60-year-old guys. In my day, we didn't have rocks. We had to go down to the creek and wash our clothes by beating them with our heads. In my day, we couldn't afford shoes, so we went barefoot. In winter, we had to wrap our feet with barbed wire for traction. In my day, we didn't have water. We had to smash together our own hydrogen and oxygen atoms.
