Hi All I would like the option of hanging an after market coil over suspension set up under my 73 Charger. Not many people support the 73 for stuff like this as most of you know.
Chris from XV (great guy by the way) suggested that the 72 frame rail may be close enough to enable a 72 frame rail cap to be stitched to the existing 73 rail thus eliminating the rubber biscuits and giving me 72 mounting points. i was going to eliminate the biscuits anyway. It seems like a reasonable idea from what i can tell. Front and rear appear to be in the same place. I dont know about the width measurements but as the bumpers interchange it should be in the same place.
Can anyone offer an opinion whether this should work? Cheers

Bump. Come on my knowledgable Charger friends. I need a little help with the above concept.
The frame rails ARE the same width. They look different at the rear where they attach to the chassis. And the vertical bend will be different but they are close. I understand the E body and 71/72 B Body have the same front rails. Does this sound right?
So, it still looks like a reasonable idea to stitch 72 front rail repair caps to my rails giving me 72 K frame mounts. So half of my problem solved. LCA mounts and engine mounts. Also rack and pinion mounting options. Getting UCA mounts located won't be easy. But will be doable.
Any opinions gratefully accepted.
Cheers

They are definitely the same width. I have the chassis manual. Thanks for your input Nacho
