I was told engine came out of a 76 newyorker but the numbers on the block say it was cast in 78. I do have a cast crank but I don't know if any balencer made for cast cranks will work. The only place I have seen one like mine is at 440 source.com part 3830482 but I haven't had a chance to call them, haft to wait till they open Monday. If I can use a different one that is fine with me but I'm not sure.

If you have one of these balencers just know you ain't gonna get a new one at parts store. 440 source.com does not have them anymore. Damper dudes will refurbish your old one witch is good to know but I think I've located a used one that I'm going to check out tomorrow. I hope it's in good shape!

I buy mine from my machine shop. The brand is power bond but its for a forged crank, not sure if they sell one for cast. Works great, has timing numbers made on it, presses on the crank nicely with a balancer installer and timing is smooth as glass with a timing light. Ive had the same experiences as you using old used balancers. Never again for me. I always call my machine shop for weird items like this, they always seem to come up with things summìt doesnt have. Of course this wouldnt work for a restoration but a driver or hot rod ive had good luck so far.
