Question is Tom, is 400HP same as 440 in 73? According to my useless book, they are the same for 73. (a 1973 400 2bbl apparently has different passenger side manifold)

I did look up the part numbers in a book we have at work, unfortunately it didn't get us too far because like you said Tom the part and casting numbers were different, I think the only thing we did figure out was b and e body fitment and some worked but we didn't know if that was because of motor or body. That was thru a Hollander book. This is why I got on here something that I thought was going to be simple became complicated really quickly.

From the 73 Parts Manual -
400-2 Right - 3751072 Left - 3751067 400-4 Right - 3751069 Left - 3751067 440HP Right - 3751069 Left - 3751067
This would indicate that the exhaust manifolds for the 400-4 & 440HP are indeed the same for the 1973 Charger models. Regarding the casting numbers on the manifolds, they are normally one digit off from the part numbers. For example, the casting number on the 3751072 is 3751071 if I recall correctly.

I just bought castings #3751068 and #3751071- so the the are from 400 2v? I ask because the guy swore they were off a 440HP. And will they fit a 71 Charger, since there is a difference between the 71 and 73 front ends? Thanks for you help.
