Ohh good and welcome I emailed the guy who was selling it back and fourth for hours but couldn't get it because I already have four cars. That is a very beautiful car and I would love to see what it looks like after its restored and I welcome you to the site as well. I live in louisiana not too far from shreveport. I have the gray one in the picture on this page by the way. Congratulations on a great car.

thanks guys for having me on the site. I'm not new to Dodge as I've been restoring WW2 Dodge Army trucks for years but I am new to the muscle cars. One question I have is that this car has a white interior with a floral pattern. It sure does look factory as the whole car looks like it original and untouched. Was the floral pattern an option ?

Looks like the sort of thing that might have been part of a "Spring Special" package. Anybody with a '73 Spring Special ad or brochure? This document at least proves that "Spring Specials" were still being built in '73. link

That's a good looking car. They came in all shapes and sizes, so to speak.
Mine is a fairly plain one...340, auto, a/c and tinted glass. NO extra chrome trim (wheel wells, rockers, etc.), no trunk blackout, no exhaust tips (just plain steel turn-downs similar to this car), bench seat, etc.

What is it that defines a 72 Rallye then, besides the doors?

Thanks for posting that Dave. Seems like we were having conversation here about "what is correct" as far as color on the 72 Rallye grilles. That literature definitely indicates a different color....."astrotone" whatever that means?
