Took a short trip to test some kyb front shocks installed over the winter. They get mixed reviews on the net and seem to have a reputation for a harsh ride. With that in mind I went ahead and bought a pair on ebay for $50 bucks. The shocks I replaced were totally worn and hoped to find something a little better than standard shocks but for a good price. These look to be quality pieces and will have to see how they hold up over time. I only drive the car on nice days so they should last a while. Anyway, I couldn't think of a better place to wring out my 340 rallye than 13 curves road which has a bit of a reputation of it's own.. Thirteen CurvesNot sure I believe the legends and folklore but I can tell you handling with the kyb's is now much improved without sacrificing ride quality. The front end used to plow going into a curve, but is now firm and stable. Got into the turns just hot enough that my P225 R14 Radial T'A's would tell me about it but not enough to brake them loose. I have no plans of entering the Trans Am anytime soon, but so far my experience has been positive so I thought it was worth mentioning. With a relatively light motor, radial tires and factory sway bar I have to admit she handles pretty well. Regarding 13 curves, I didn't see anything out of the ordinary, then again I really wasn't looking for any ghostly brides. Next time I'll have to take the dodge through there at night...No ghostly passengers please
