Price over performance has won the day and I got a good deal on some General Grabbers. Thanks for your input.

It is interesting that you would say that on the "wear", 1ol74. As I had a pair of TAs that wore so well, they actually were old enough to start dry-rot. I have one in my trunk as a spare right now, cracked in places but holds air. No to mention the fact that I wrote Goodrich and they said there was nothing they could do seeing how they were so old, but offered me a % discount on another set. I forget how much it was but I purchased another set, sent them the invoice and they reimbursed me the amount they said, cash money. So I have NO complaints about their customer service. In fact even if they did wear quicker I would buy them because of their CS.

T/A's wear very good...As was stated (I have used them forever) ...and have had to get rid of some as they dry cracked before the tread wore down....BF Goodrich does make stickier tires that wear quick as all soft compound tires do. and of course if you just like smoking your tires at every stop light then nothing will last long!

Guys, thats why they say your mileage may vary.... When someone asks for advice I try to use a crosssection of what I have seen and heard from various sources and not limit it only to personal experience to give the person asking the best recomendation I can. What I have seen is generally BF TA's on a daily driver don't last as long as comparably priced tires because of the softer compound. Mine have lasted because I don't drive on them and I'm not hard on them. If you notice I also said "of the 3". I knew one guy that had all 3 so I felt safe in offering up that tidbit. Not trying to play expert, just answering peoples questions because I know what it's like to have no one respond to your question. He bought the grabbers anyways.
