I should add that the cruise servos are the same for many years/models, so the Lebaron most likely does have the same main servo, but...the mounting bracket that attaches to the servo and the cables are different. If originality of the mounting bracket is not an issue, you could use the unit off of the Lebaron.

On this 73, the washer jug was mounted up front.

The bottle was mounted thru the grille bracket on one side. For the other mount, there was a separate bracket. It very well may have been a custom job. As far as the reason, the owner probably could not find the original cruise bottle and got what they could at a junkyard.
