Yep, I did it again. Must be living right. Found another 8 3/4 chunk with 3.91 gears. Thats two of them within a month. Last one was a 489 case. What is strange is that I have walked past this truck a couple times in the last 2-3 weeks. I had crawled underneath it 2 weeks ago and seen that it had a 3.91 tag on it. At that point I spun one wheel. I must have been dazed and confused because I swore the other one went in the opposite direction. Thinking it was a single legger, I left it. I don`t bother getting single legger chunks. Over the last few days....for reasons unknown.... I thought maybe I should recheck it. I thought it was kind of weird that a singe legger would have such a numerically high gear ratio. Most of the single leggers I run across are 2.76 and 3.23 ratios. I still don`t know if my line of reasoning is/was sound.....but it sure worked out well! So, today right as I was ready to leave that yard...I went back and rechecked. Sure enough.....both wheels spun in the same direction. So, I got to work and pulled the chunk. Total cost was $56.40 for the chunk. Here is a couple pics

Now what did you say you are planning on doing with these? IMO, I think the 3.91 gear is gonna be a bit steep for my, I'm thinking of a 3.55 SG set up....

Now what did you say you are planning on doing with these? I did not say what I was going to do with it If it really matters...I`ll probably sell one and use the $$ to catch up on some bills.

What an awesome deal! Wish we had yards around here with older stuff still in it.
