Is it possible to get a buzzer that is not so annoying? This thing (72) drives me up the wall.

I don't want to hear that sound when I'm getting into or out of the car, let alone when I'm working on it with the door open.

The buzzer should only sound if you have the key in the ignition. Should not sound when first entering the car.

It only sounds when the key is in the ignition, but it often happens that I want to have the door open and the key in the ignition. The ding ding sound modern cars make is a good compromise.

If it's the stock buzzer or nothing I'll pull it and live with the consequences.

Yes horn relay and buzzer is the same fixture between 71 and 73. Plugged on top of fuse box.
If there is not a diff option than the buzzer itself ( that I can't tell for sure ) you could: -Use a 74 and lates horn relay, which is not with buzzer ( moved from them on 74 due the interlock system becoming on the unit control formwarning buzzers ) -remove the terminal from fuse box at horn relay cavity ( and isolate ) -remove at least one of the tiny red wires on female ign plug or black wires from male ign plug... and isolate.
