Yes horn relay and buzzer is the same fixture between 71 and 73. Plugged on top of fuse box. If there is not a diff option than the buzzer itself ( that I can't tell for sure ) you could: -Use a 74 and lates horn relay, which is not with buzzer ( moved from them on 74 due the interlock system becoming on the unit control formwarning buzzers ) -remove the terminal from fuse box at horn relay cavity ( and isolate ) -remove at least one of the tiny red wires on female ign plug or black wires from male ign plug... and isolate. Hmm maybe the best thing is to pull the horn relay while I'm working on the car, but I think I'll eventually get one that doesn't have the buzzer. Thanks everyone.

thats what I used to do when my 74 was actually wired like a 71 ( in Venezuela were in that way )... also remove the time delay flasher to save from overheat. These things are REALLY expensive to me

What would overheat? I don't know what a time delay flasher is.

the time delay flasher... if your car got equipped with the ign courtesy light you get that flasher to control it. This flasher gets really hot and can burnt. In 71 also controls the seatbelt light pictured the 69 one, but 71/74 are the same, just a bit diff pigtail s1093.photobucket.com/user/dstrzelec/media/DSC_5653.jpg.html

Well, he is using the word "flasher" and it is not really a flasher, its more of a relay. It controls the bulb for the key light on the steering column. It does get hot! But you can always isolate it with a piece of duct insulation or just keep it away from other wires. No big deal.

My concern about the heat is more to getting shortened on its life than burn around anything
