well after the junkyard hunt with Tom I thought I was done, PROBABLY yes, I am done but still lot of doubts about.

I found this blue box interlock PN 3501372 ( is not on my april 74 catalog ) that tested on car and without major test does look IT WORKS as should it be. Will check better later. however on an internal view, THIS UNIT has couple of jumpers, an extra diode and some just on printed circuit board. Box has also a white paint mark on a corner. If you see this unit you could think this unit was bypassed at dealer

Compairing with the box I had/have, PN 3746653, ( is on my april 74 catalog ) what is not working as I think should it be working. This unit internally have all the circuit board complete, no cuts and no jumpers, no extra diodes. Is not white marked, but does have a small yellow mark at a side.

If we are logical, you could think, the "modified" one should it be the bypassed, but IS NOT... is opposite.

Still lot of doubts about this stuff

Hey Nacho, There were bound to be factory changes if there is a new factory part number.
Seeing this type of modification is not uncommon at all. I suppose you could sketch out the
circuits & see.

ok, the deal is... the unmodified one should it be the one what should work interlocked, but is not.

The modified one is the one that you would think has beeen dealer modified to eliminate the interlock function, but is not.

DON'T RMEMEBER with property if unmodified one worked at first instance like it should be, since I had soem harness to sensors doubts... The first harness I had mounted was without provision to driver seat sensor

the modified one does have apparently and earlier PN.

date codes are allmost the same:

Modifies has 3163 and unmodified is 2163

Doesn't the date codes show the modified being made 100 days after the unchanged 1?

I used to think I could make sense of part numbers.......
