I recently came across this sheet metal clip that I bolted off my 71 Bee about 15 years ago. I can't remember where I took it off. Maybe it even is not original to my car. Does anyone know where it belongs? My first thought was maybe the backup light harness, where it is secured to engine and trans. But those clips look a little bit shorter. Also, my clip seems to have a mark from an oval hole. Condition looks as if it was in the chassis area, not on the engine or trans. Any thoughts?

Is it possible it is the one that holds the A/C hoses to the inner fender?

Everything is possible A/C would make sense as I pulled off everything belonging to the A/C back then. Wasn't complete and working anyway. Which hoses do you mean? This strap is about 3/8" wide. So there doesn't fit much of a hose inside. It it by far not as big as the one on top of the alternator, holding the heater hoses.

Where would this be located? Any hint for where to search for it?

Nothing with body. Body harmesses looms are usually spot welded. Without a size reference, seems to be a dash wiring loom

I looked at all my saved pics from engine bays and the spot I thought all of the pics i have use the plastic loop to hold the hoses, so that is not it. So I'm stumped. This is, I know I have seen one like that.

I've had 71's & 2's that had these clips holding the rear light wires. Usually attached to the housings...maybe just on cars with rallye lights? I've seen a shorter version on 70 Challenger t/l's in the trunk. I think on the 73s & 74s the harness got attached to the light housings via little plastic straps that were taped into the harness. Harness. There. I just wanted to say "harness" a million times.

I think Q-man is right.
I had something that looked like that laying on my garage floor a few months ago. Right after I opened a package with some 71 R/T tail lights. That location would also give it exposure to the elements. Hence the crusty appearance More so than an interior wiring harness holder....which was my initial thought.

For size reference I shot this photo. The bolt hole seems to be for a thread diameter of 1/4".
