Not a business genius, but you just KNEW this proce drop was coming. From $399.99, to $119.99. So $10 bucks a month. If they'd have done that in the first place, I'd have stayed. But no way I'm going back....so very happy with Flickr.
"Hello ,
We would like to offer a tailored plan for users just like you - our Premium plan for $119.99 / year.
The Premium plan will provide 3rd party hosting for non-commercial use on your forums, blogs, and personal websites*. Additionally, you will be able to store up to 300,000 photos.
We are working on some exciting changes for 2018. This is our exclusive introductory price and this offer will expire in 7 days.
Thank you very much for your continued support.
-Sebastian"

Could it be some tactical movement about the "drop price" to the real one they allways thought to set it at? Making the "offer" ilussion to the ppl feeling better about that price LOL.

I don't think so Nacho. If it was, it was a very poor business choice. People using the service have moved on to new provides months ago. I envision very few people going back.
I for one, having experienced another provider who is still free, and head and shoulders above the bucket in service, speed, space, and ease of use, would never go back to the bucket for ANY reason.
Surfbest (my old dial up ISP) could email and offer me internet for $1 a year, but I wouldn't go back.

...but the bucket can suck it! * * Not sure if I should be flattered at the offer (they want me back), or insulted (because they think I'm that gullible.

Ahh much better. Guess they werent making any friends with the first attempt at charging people so much. What a bad buisness decision. It has created an animosity and feeling of holding photos hostage. Yes it was free for a while but why slap your users when you can ease them into a pay plan. For the first time I paid for cloud storage/ added space, for videos on Amazon prime. Its nice to wach video and pictures from your phone to the tv. Amazon offers unlimited photo space.

Yes, I have problems loading video to Flickr. For that, and all of the forums I did NOT update old threads on (that's most of them) with new links to Flickr, I'd like to do it. But they pissed me off so much, I"m not sure I can bring myself to do it.
