When I tucked mine in I got rid of those. The only thing I did was elongate the holes where the bumper brackets attached to the frame. Everything else was adjustable to tuck it in nicely. The fillers can go in the garbage also. Welcome aboard. Bob

71/72 got those too. Can't tell if shorter though
Needed for the assembly ? Not
Would try to get the diagonal brace though.
I think have seen those parts on eBay

I found a picture of the 71/72 they look shorter..not sure if they would line up with the 73 fender. I have seen the braces on ebay now and then I well get a pair. thanks!

And that would make sense, right? Them being shorter for 1 and 2....as the 3 and 4 bumpers sit further out?

Can't tell if 73/74 will disturb the suck in jumper job. Bob can tell. So far so good nobody has tell yet about the bumper impact pads are disturbing on this job, and lot pf pp, has done that. Not even talked about the 71/72 need for that
