Another reason to take pics before disassembling front suspension- or anything else: In the process of putting my rig back together after body and paint...specifically installing the front disc calipers and think I've swapped left and right spindles, resulting in the incorrect "clock" position for the caliper. The clock position is at 2:00, rather than 10:00. Very few if any pics were taken prior to disassembly (of anything). Fortunately, a '72 parts car can be referenced.
Is the 10:00 position correct?

A search and forum member pics tell me I have spindles swapped. Disassembly and correction required!

Wait...side to side, if they are both on the rear of the rotor (example), wouldn't that be 10 o'clock on the passenger side, and 2 o'clock on the driver side?
I only have one old film photograph of my car where you can see the caliper, and it appears to be on the front of the rotor...10 o'clock as viewed on the driver side.

Thanks for confirming that! My photos was just too dark to be of value in this conversation.

Is it settled or do you need more pics? I believe I have some amongst the 500 or so on the computer.

The "10:00" position (calipers toward the front of car) is the correct one, I've swapped the spindles and things are right now. To the forum members, posted pics, thank you!! Also: For those who paint the caliper, and mounting bracket: You might need to sand off some of the paint to allow for a proper fit, since the fit is bit tight.

10 on the driver side only, right? 2 on the passenger side? In other words, both calipers are to the front?
