It's been a while since I removed the cluster and I can't remember, will the car run with the gauge cluster removed from the car?

Just if you link ammeter wires. Can be done with a screw and nut to hold both eyelet terminals together, then isolate them

Confirmed, I drove my car last week to a shop "cluster less" to have A/C installed after I swapped out the dash
