I just finished rebuilding my ac/heater box but it left me with an issue. The parts under the dash look better than the rest of the dash. With that said I completely disassembled my dash so I can paint the frame and clean everything else up. My dash pad is just starting to crack and I figure after all this work I should replace the pad because nothing will stop it from cracking more now that it has started. Has anyone used one of the repop pads that have a fiberglass core in place of a steel core and if so how did it work? The only place I found that has the steel cores said they won’t have more until maybe mid May or June. Any suggestions on where to get a good replacement that will fit and look correct? Thanks

No suggestions legolen, except to be patient and wait for the steel core. I've not read too many good things about the fiberglass cores.

What about if send your one to be rebuilt?. Then you won't have to wait.
JustDashes used to be good recomended some years go, but their prices went crazy.
This has being talked many times but I allways forgett the bussines names doing this job. One of them is ABCmopars or something like that?
Carolina superdashes is another one.
There is one on ebay who is allways offering these on $400-450 rate sending your core. There is one seller which constantly changes his ebay seller ID. Maybe is this one. Uses to appear located in El Paso, Texas I think.
And couple of weeks ago appeared a seller on a FB group offering these, but can't find it right now
Must to say that I think haven't seen one yet with the nice sharpened groove around the cluster "eyebrow". Groove uses to be there but a bit blurry.

Just reminds me of how things snowball. My engine rebuild resulted in a full blown engine bay restoration. My plan to replace carpet and package tray snowballed into replacing the headliner and freshening up the up trim and panels. Press on, do it right and when you've got it all done you'll be happy.
