My car has new wiring harnesses... all nice and neat with good insulation and colors you can actually make out under the hood! Love it! My only complaint is this- Couldn't they have used heavier wire for the lead coming off the alternator? Man, it seems kinda wimpy! I removed the alternator the other day to have it tested (it was fine... needed a regulator), and I was really surprised the black output lead wasn't bigger than it was!
This kinda reminds me of the "brown wire" on old Fiat 124 Spiders. I added another 12 gauge to run alongside the brown wire on that car and wow... what a difference it made!
On the Charger, it surprises me that this one little black wire on the alternator runs all the lights, accessories, AND charges the battery!

One of the big mistakes made by MaMopar is the gauge of that wire, the lack of power coming out from alt and the pretension bulkhead terminals were to hold the loads for these LOL. Then, why many of them got melted there LOL
