That is exactly what I thought based on logic but when I went to buy a wiring loom from a guy that has been making them for many years I was told my logic was backwards. I think putting a female connector into a male shell makes the adventure debatable about which gender the assembly becomes.

well that's the wire which feeds the rear glass deffoger... mistery solved.
Male and female are reffered to the electric terminal, not to the plug/housing/insulator/shell

In this example, the connector BODY (the plastic part) is female. But the TERMINAL (the metal blade) is male.
Not sure how to call that one.

The switch in my car has three terminals, and it has a connector with three wires attached to it. So where would I connect the mystery connector to if there is no extra terminal on the switch?

Is the output from switch to feed the glass, so it conects to a wire running from there up to the glass.
Same source also lights up the pilot light to let you know when is activated the electric deffog heater ( mounted on switch )

Anyone have a picture of where it mounts? Wondering if it points down towards the floor or mounts next to the switch pointed towards the seat. I have the gauge cluster out at the moment, so everything is easy access. Can't remember what the mounting bracket looks like.
