Hi Bob
Your tutorial is pretty much as to what I am doing. Once Dave gets me going on how to post pics here, I can post them. For me it was relatively easy on my 73 Charger. Nacho was correct as to what to do. I just took out the glove box to locate the metal band strap to make sure that's where it is. I then unplugged the vacuum connector with all of the vacuum lines that is located under the dash, left of the steering column. Taking out the bucket seat also helped. Then I threaded the vacuum lines thru and under the dash to make sure they are clear of any obstructions once the box is dropped. I then took off the 3 nuts to the blower motor on the engine bay side of the firewall and removed the blower motor. It's easier this way instead of trying to pull the box out with the blower motor still attached. I then unscrewed the 4 nuts attached to the 4 bolts that are attached with the a/c heater box. These are also located on the engine side of the firewall. The hardest one was the nut just above the middle of the tranny. Once these were removed, I then unscrewed the upper bolt to the metal strap behind the glove box. Once this was removed the a/c heater box started to drop down a little. This is where 2 people come in handy. The tubing to the heater core and the a/c evaporator will get hung up on the firewall openings when pulling the box down from inside the car. Need the 2nd person to gently lift and push the tubes(box) thru the firewall openings. Takes about 5 seconds. The box came out without any issues.
.......now I get to order more parts. Merry Christmas to me......
