Hello again . Putting my 400 engine together with all the accerersios . problem with the alternator mounting brackets is where and how to attach on engine . The triangle brkt is obvious but everything else is a mystery . Any pics out there ? Any help is appreciated . Thanks chargervic .

Sorry If I this info is around but I can't remember. A/C or not AC ?
the bracket changes depending on this.
Lower bracket ( adjuster bracket ) changes too

that´s an A/C bracket setup as Bob mentioned.... I'm trying to find a GOOD pic of a non A/C setup pic. The top bracket fits further forward and the bottom bracket doesn't have the reinforcement extension to the engine mount bolt

another view... this is a 440, but pretty much the same. Just using a diff hole of the top bracket due the deck height difference

this setup requires 3 spacers... two for the alt top bolt itself and one for the bottom bolt shared by both brackets

the alt itself is located in exactly same place on both, so an A/C setup can be used on a non A/C engine. The diff is because the A/C compressor bracket use some of the non A/C alt bracket bolts provisions, hence the reason why A/C alt top bracket was installed on a deeper location and fits on back of the front alt ear, instead in front.
