That's what I was thinking. I had my '74 SE torn down about as far as it could go without a torch and do not recall seeing that. Could it possibly have something to do with manual shift operation? My SE is console automatic.

Doesn't look familiar.
And probably no important, but it's awfully pure white for a 40-50 year old piece of plastic.

Does it have ANY Chrysler identification on it at all? If not it was probably after market. But I had mine torn down as well and I don't recognize it at all.
