B-bodies are not that heavy to begin with. He's added some weight with the frame and rear suspension work.
But look...no A/C, manual steering, manual brakes with aluminum master cylinder, headers and not manifolds, aluminum heads and intake, perhaps block, certainly water pump and housing, aluminum radiator, lift-off hood, etc. It could certainly be that light.
Fun to watch. Very cool car. Sits right for '72 era hotrods on the street, but I was never a fan of the look.

You know the one with only half a rear wheel opening. He had that thing jacked up so high to put some wide tires under it the headlights couldn't be adjusted high enough. Of course everyone drove around with the brights on so the yellow fog lights would be on. Tires would rub if anyone rode in the back seat.

Oh yes...we had one of those in our group...a guy with a '67 Impala coupe with a 327. Could have been a cool car, but it went down hill pretty fast.

Huge tunnel ram and dual 1000 cfm carbs. Full interior with roll cage. Disk brakes front and rear. He's taken weight out but he's added in too, at least compared to my base 318 car. It'd be amazing if the B body really could be made that light.
