What's the correct length for the speedo cable on a 73 Charger? Is it 40 inches? Just broke off the tab on my speedo cable trying to snap it back into the speedometer gage

Hmm...I don't have a '73 parts book. (Not even sure if that data is in a parts book). Hey Bob (odzking), do you know?

Which one, with or with out speed control. I have the non-SC one in the garage and I can measure it. However according to the parts book all cables are 62 inches in length. all cars. with SC, upper would be 36" lower 52"

It seems I can only find the 40 inch cable with the snap clip to the speedometer. I will need to get under the car and disconnect from the tranny and measure. Thanks Bob

all speedo cables are on 6x" rate depending on body and year. Couple of inche more or less. I have been too busy latelly to reply correctly here. I'm not familiar with any 40" cable on our cars. A bodies use to be on low 60s" rate in fact.
