Do you use a VPN when accessing this site?

I've encountered an issue this week in accessing this site. My IP is blocked.

As the forum owner, I can block individual IPs from spammers and troublemakers. Clearly, I did nto do this to myself at the forum level, so this is ProBoards blocking me.

I use Mozilla VPN. I always use one of the 15 server options in this country, because selecting one in another country really screws with all kinds of things.

Apparently, someone using the same Mozilla VPN IP as me did something somewhere on a ProBoards site. This lead to the IP being blocked by ProBoards. So now my options are to use one of the other 14 IP options, or to turn VPN off when accessing a ProBoards forum.

At the moment, that leaves me a work around. But as time goes by, with VPNs becoming more and more popular with home users, this becomes a much bigger problem.

I've reported the issue on a forum for ProBoards forum owner to discuss such things, but thus far I'm not making much progress.

So it just made me wonder....who else is using a VPN at home when they access the site? I want to be able to intelligently discuss this with the powers that be at ProBoards. So knowing this will help me make that argument.

I don't but I should learnt about that, because some USA websites don't allow visits from Europa

What the heck is a VPN? I guess that's a no for me.

Lol 😆. I'm glad you asked because I sure was feeling a bit stupid. I guess I'm not either. I will have to Google it though.

Now that I've done a quick search of what a VPN is, my official answer is NO. Though I kind of feel like should be using one.
