That carpet is interesting looking stuff. I've never seen anything that looked quite like that before.

That carpet is interesting looking stuff. I've never seen anything that looked quite like that before. Well make sure you set aside some time to see it in person in Sept! Ha! It is rather thin and a very short loop. Per a SE brochure I seen online it was standard but seems odd that if so there should be more of them out there. Jer, there is no rot in my trunk nor is there any holes in the body other than below the battery tray where an overcharged battery spilled acid and ate the tray and inner fender. Now if I were to blast the body there is some bubbling on the lower fender and maybe around the rocker trim and a spot on the roof that would blow through. Minor surface rust in the trunk floor. When I got the car the original Rallye wheels were in the trunk and I think that's what wore holes in the carpet and took the paint off. I would like to do what you are doing as my car is such a nice canidate but I have neither the time or energy to do so. Barely keeping up on just minor repairs on the 2 classics and 2 daily drivers at this time.
