Hello everyone, I just registered on the forum and will be looking at the wealth of information to help a friend who owns a 1971 Dodge Charger 500. It has been "stored" without disturbance since 1995 and has been recently "unearthed". I will help my friend find out if it is worthwhile to restore it in any way. The car is red and was equipped with a black vinyl roof. It has an automatic transmission with the "slap stick" shifter on a center console. It has rust in all the usual places and the interior is a mess - victim of critter chewing.
I will post some pictures if someone helps me with how to do that. We have done some limited exterior inspections but have to jack the car and get the wheels off to put new rubber on it. Once we can roll the car, we can do more serious cleaning and begin assessments on what might be needed to bring it to life. Wish us luck!

Welcome from Michigan. You can host pics on Flickr and then copy the links to here. That's how I do it. Dave will pop in to welcome you and will have another alternative to posting pics here. A 71 Charger 500 is a sweet find and worthy of fixing up or restoring if not to far gone. Good luck
