Left him a positive message. I've been thinking about doing YouTube, but I can either buy parts or cameras. YouTube's been going downhill for years as well, seems like they hate the creators now unless they're Will Smith.

They love tweaking their algorithms too. I think a man could invest thousands in cameras and lighting and never get more than a few hundred views per video. But there'd be another channel getting hundreds of thousands of views, and it's like, who is watching that? I've got one prominent car YouTuber in mind, who is not particularly photogenic, who got a chance at a TV show but couldn't carry it, who's only been updating once a week, but still he's getting hundreds of thousands of views. Did I mention he can't even work on his cars? Seems a little strange to me.

I wonder if they have changed their pay structure to pay more for long (1 hour +) videos and less for shorter (15-20 minute) videos. I say that because several of the creators I'm a regular follower of suddenly are producing hour + long content, which I am NOT watching in place of their usual, shorter clips. When I see several start doing it at the same time, when they mostly have not in the past, I get curious.

From what I've heard, YouTube has been pushing hard for "shorts," to compete with TikTok. They're not pushing channels that don't do "shorts," which some creators hate. That was a couple months ago, maybe it changed?
Before that, the 12-13 minute video was the money maker. I've gotten real sick of YouTubers padding out their videos to get 12-13 minutes. And they'll still have a sponsor advertisement abruptly and randomly dropped in there.

There are VERY FEW shorts that I watch. Waste of my time for the most part.
Yes, Intros and music, exit music with links out, just filler to hit that longer time goal.

I can't imagine trying to make money with YouTube. If you have another product to sell, maybe, but apparently YouTube wants to be Amazon with videos and get a piece of everything. I've been looking at it for years, but it may be completely ruined by the time I get things together.

How are people aligning the K-member with the engine mounted on it?
It seems like the bolts for the K-member should be like lug nuts, with a taper that centers the rim, but they're not. They only hold the k-member in place with friction from the bolt head. They don't align the k-member at all.
