This would be a great restoration and an easy one at that. The trunk pan should be ok and just replace the extension pan in there. The rest of the rust looks to be surface rust. The engine and all of the suspension will be where the money will be well spent. If I wasn't an old fart, i'd probably would be trying to get another project to work on.

Cool project. Not a Corolla fan! I heard you were putting off the Charger because you were working on your dream Civic build. (I saw a guy seriously say "dream Civic build" once and it has stuck with me ever since, as those words should never go together)

That 71 Charger has the valance trim, nice. Standard on SE's. Anybody know what the plastic jug in front of the radiator core support, drivers side is for? Maybe headlight washer system but I don't see the brushes on the light bulbs.

No foreign cars in my future as restoration projects. I might build an Exocet Miata. Anything European that I want is likely to be far beyond my budget and next to impossible to find parts for. Do the Dodge Stealth or Chrysler Conquest count as foreign? Plymouth Laser, Eagle Talon? Second gen Challenger?
